Dr. David A. Almeida is Professor of Special Education at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ). He was previously Associate Professor of Education at Stonehill College (SC). He served as department chair at both Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ and SC as well as Acting Associate Dean. Dr. Almeida was a founding faculty member of the Pedro Pires Institute for Cape Verdean Studies at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ. Prior to his work in higher education, Dr. Almeida was a special education teacher at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
